Just woke up from a dream that made me really emotional; it reminded me of a heist/who-done-it/The Usual Suspects sort of movie, in a postmodern, pioneer, Orwellian-Utopia period (where cops are more militarized and dumber than ever; where holding facilities held derelicts, handicapped, and drunks, not criminals; where the facilities look like early Foucauldian experimental prisons.). It reminded me that $5k is a lot of money in an alternate reality, but it wouldn’t get me even half out of debt in my own reality. As soon as I composed myself, my news alarm went off about the final space shuttle touching down, ending NASA’s 30 year old space program. That choked me up, seeing as how I was a part of the Young Astronauts program, (which I guess has been defunct for well over 9 years) as a kid and grew up with so much hope in the future of our species’ space technology for travel. Where are we now? Anyway, glad I jotted it down.

- I built it up as this hot new track that is gonna dominate the charts
- all her peers were at attention
